1 - I dislike insects, and I'm afraid of many of them. Butterflies and such are still beautiful, but I avoid approaching them too much;
2 - I'm a very, VERY lazy person to watch movies. It's cinema or a complete nothing-to-do moment at home;
3 - I love videogames, but I'm not exactly GOOD playing them;
4 - I have my parents among my best friends EVER;
5 - I'm more analytical than creative, and I feel more at ease writing than drawing;
6 - I take one glass of chocolate milk (less chocolate, more milk) as breakfast, and one right before going to sleep. Every day. Travelling? Search my luggage.
7 - I use Corel Photo-Paint instead of Photoshop. Nothing against PS, I just know Corel more.
8 - I love teen love stories, but they need the cute, romantic, not-too-raw-modern-life feeling.
9 - I tend to associate musics with memories, so I love to listen to soundtracks.
10 - I had my first hair dye only when I was 24.

Well, as always: NO TAGGED PEOPLE. Do it if you like! u.u"

Cosplay Meme:

I will consider myself tagged by :iconpeacemakergirl: this time.

★Who did you first cosplay as?
Let's say it was Skuld, from Ah! Megami-sama! OVA. Marle from CT was made first, but as a general costume... it was worn at a con only in 2008.

★When and where did you first cosplay?
FloripAnime, Florianopolis - SC - Brazil, July 2000.

★When and where was the last time you cosplayed?
Anime Sports, Blumenau - SC - Brazil, November 2009. I was dressed as Hinata.

★Who have you cosplayed as in the past?
Skuld - Ah! Megami-sama! OVA
Rena Lanford - Star Ocean EX
Ruki Makino / Rika Nonaka - Digimon Tamers
Lafiel - Seikai no Senki / Banner of the Stars
Hinata Hyuuga - Naruto
Rukia Kuchiki - Bleach
Aika - Skies of Arcadia
Mizuho Kazami - Onegai Teacher
Misty / Kasumi - Pokémon
Marle - Chrono Trigger
Mia Ausa - Lunar: Silver Star Story
Kumatora - MOTHER 3
Eureka - Eureka seveN

★Who is your favorite person to cosplay as?
Ruki/Rika is a lot of fun, because it's comfortable and well recognized. I can use my hair for this costume, too. But I love all of my costumes!

★Who do you REALLY wanna cosplay as?
Uh... Princess Peach, maybe? O.o" One day.

★How many of your friends cosplay?
Many of them. Some don't cosplay anymore, but anyway.

★Have you ever walked around in public in your cosplay outfit?
I don't like to do it, but, yeah. Hunting for food outside the cons. XD

★Have people in public ever recognized you and asked for photos?
I don't know! O_o

★Have you ever made your own cosplay outfit?
Not entirely, but I coordinate the entire process. I have help from a seamstress and from my parents, but I do some props entirely by myself, too. It depends.

★When and where did you first learn of cosplay?
Some anime-related magazine, I guess. Year 1998 or so.

★What did you think of it then?
I knew I HAD to do it sometime! *_* I mean, I always loved costumes, and I was a ballerina for some years. Cosplay was a new reason to wear costumes for photos and on stage, and it was related to my dear hobbies: anime and videogames.

★What do you think of it now?
I love it. Anime cons would not be the same without cosplaying.

★Where do you usually cosplay?
Until now, conventions only.

★Have you ever done a cosplay skit on stage?
Of course! There's no cosplay of mine without a skit. More than one, it I have the chance.

★Have you ever won a prize for said skit?
Some prizes, yep. Top 3 at local cons, mostly.

★Do you plan your cosplay outfits waaay before you’re meant to wear them?
I really should, but... no. XD I can THINK OF them, I can plan them MENTALLY... but I usually start making the costume, like, 45-60 days before it's first con. At most. x_x

★Have you ever been to a convention and cosplayed?
Of course! ^_~

★What is the best thing about cosplay?
Taking good photos, and sharing the fan love, from walking at the con to performing the skit. Well, it's all about fun!

★What is the worst thing about cosplay?
Envious and disrespectful people. People who don't know how to lose. When cosplaying turns too much into serious business.

★Why do you cosplay?
Fun, and sharing the fan love, as I've already said.

★Now Tag 7 Other Cosplayers?
Fell free to answer! ^_^

Well, this month is almost ending, and so is this year of 2009. Since Anime Sports, some things happened:

- I've left my job, because I was invited to another. I'll still work for the government, but now for the entire State of Santa Catarina instead of a local City Hall. I'll be at the Health Department, probably with licensing and stuff, since I'm an architect. Just waiting for the official mail to arrive, so I can gather the proper docs and all.

- My younger cousin got married Saturday. He and his brother were the first two of us "five cousins". It's somewhat awkward when people younger than you start to marry. But, well, there's many single people older than me, too. (I'm fine, I swear! XD)

- I've just finished reading Violinist of Hameln manga. AND IT'S SO GREAT! Well, no doubt I would like a fantasy adventure with humor and romance, published by Gangan Comics (part of Enix, now Square-Enix). I mean, when RPG experts publish manga, they must know what they're doing, right? XD But I'm still impressed. Classic elements mix with so many surprises! For a 1991-2001 story, it certainly doesn't feel outdated. I would like to thank my friends who insisted that I should read Hameln. My current fever.

Yay, random report! December's almost here, where's my Christmas spirit?

I'm already back! o/ Anime Sports was great! Some highlights:

- HOT WEATHER. x_x Well, nothing to do about that. Dressing as Hinata was kind of painful, but fortunately I could take off the jacket and still look like Hinata... or so I thought, because some hardcore fans looked kinda... offended? XD Well, I loved to use that cosplay again. Skits were pretty fun, and I was awarded 2nd place at Solo contest, and 1st place at Group contest with ~Elfadosventos.

- Although I was not able to participate of any quizzes, I was watching them. And nowadays I see that I'm better at videogame quizzes than anime quizzes. Years ago, I knew more about anime. Bleh. Fun to watch, anyway. I was only shocked that NOBODY knew from which game Lucas was! I mean, he's in Brawl, nobody reads those trophies???

- I played WarioWare Smooth Moves on the main stage, mwahahah! Lots of fun! XD

- There were sports-themed anime episodes showing on the main stage, too. First time I've watched Samurai Champloo. Oh, I laughed! XD

- Two local bands, Ryokan and Hatenkoo. The first one is more experienced and played more J-Rock. The second one made its first presentation and had a great selection of music!

- Only one try at the karaoke this time, and not good at all! XD I really should choose musics I know how to sing! XD

- SCAM (the group of Combat Simulation with Medieval Weapons) made a great presentation. A Sohei monk challenged an European knight. I'd never seen a monk fighting outside videogame RPGs before, ahahaha! XD

- STAFF AND GENERAL PUBLIC DANCING CARAMELLDANSEN WHILE THE CREDITS ROLL. Period.

Anime Sports woooooo~~

Anime Sports this weekend! It's going to be a great (not too big, but great anyway) con, I can't wait! I've decided to cosplay as Hinata (from Naruto, yep, non-Shippuuden) again, and to perform a free-style skit full of jokes and videogame / TV / soup opera references, mwahaha! Just you wait! :XD: Unfortunately I was not able to make a sports-related costume in time. Maybe for another edition! :aww:

Oh, and good news keep arriving at "real life", ohohoho! Wish me luck!

It's mid October already, whoa! Time really goes fast when we don't have deadlines to concentrate on. I've been working day after day during weekdays, and enjoying the weekends. Nothing fantastic.

AniParana is next week, but I can't attend it, unfortunately. I'm cheering for my friends and/or fellow cosplayers who can, though. I really hope it'll be a great con, so it can happen every year! An anime con's first edition is always surrounded by doubt, isn't it?

My next con is going to be Anime Sports, mid November. Unless some emergency arrives, this one is guaranteed, yay! I'm still deciding what cosplay I should wear, since I want something comfortable... and if I dress as Eureka ONE MORE TIME within the next months, I think I'll go crazy! x_x

I was thinking on a new costume, but... no simple, comfortable projects listed right now. Well, there's one, but that one I want to make customizing normal clothes, minimal sewing involved. And the clothes I need are so simple, but I DON'T FIND THEM ANYWHERE. And I see people on the streets wearing exactly what I'm looking for, what's even more frustrating.

Oh, well, maybe I'll revive THAT cosplay...
